Switzerland has invited over 160 delegations to the Ukraine peace conference in mid-June on the Bürgenstock. According to the Federal Department of Foreign Affairs, these include members of the G7, the G20, the Brics states, the UN, the OSCE, the Council of Europe and the Vatican.

"With the selection of invited states, the aim is to ensure the broadest possible participation of high-ranking representatives from numerous nations," it was stated on Thursday on the corresponding website of the Federal Department of Foreign Affairs (FDFA). The list of participating states will only be published shortly before the start of the conference.

The conference will take place on June 15 and 16 at the Bürgenstock. The aim of the meeting at the level of heads of state and government is to develop a common understanding of a possible path to a just and lasting peace in Ukraine. This should form the basis for a peace process.
