The Polling Place Is Not the Sole Deciding Factor for the Election

Despite a low ranking on the list, Ernst Wandfluh of the Berner-SVP and Anna Rosenwasser of the SP/ZH both managed to be elected to their respective parties' delegations in the National Council. Wandfluh was ranked 24th on the list, while Rosenwasser was ranked 20th. Katja Riem of the Berner SVP was the youngest representative elected, jumping from 19th on the list to 6th. LGBTQ stands for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Trans and Queer people. Despite their low rankings, these three individuals managed to be elected to their respective parties' delegations in the National Council, showing that a good list placement is not the only factor in electoral success.
