The Secretary General of the Swiss Green Party leaves

The Swiss Greens are losing their Secretary General Rahel Estermann. She will leave the party secretariat at the end of April 2025 to pursue a new career. The Greens are re-advertising the position of Secretary General, as they announced on Monday.

Estermann has worked in the General Secretariat of the Greens for four years and has been Secretary General since January 2023. As such, she was responsible for the "Agenda 2023-2027" election program, the subsequent Federal Council campaign and the election of the new presidency in April 2024, among other things, according to the press release.

According to a press release, she will continue as a cantonal councillor for the Green Party in Lucerne. The digitalization researcher has been a member of the Lucerne Cantonal Council since 2018.
