The Selected National Council Member in the Canton of Uri

The people of the Canton of Uri have elected the following person to the National Council:

The National Council is the lower house of the Swiss Federal Assembly, the federal legislature of Switzerland. It is composed of 200 members elected by the people of the cantons. The Canton of Uri is one of the 26 cantons of Switzerland and is located in the central part of the country.

The person elected to the National Council from the Canton of Uri is Thomas Aeschi, a member of the Swiss People's Party. Aeschi is a lawyer and entrepreneur from the canton and has been a member of the Uri cantonal government since 2015. He is also a member of the Swiss Federal Council, the seven-member executive council of Switzerland.

Aeschi was elected to the National Council with a majority of the votes in the canton. He will serve a four-year term in the National Council, representing the interests of the Canton of Uri. He will be responsible for representing the canton in the national legislature and for helping to shape the laws and policies of the Swiss government.
