Threat situation at Bern school triggers police operation

A report of an alleged threat situation triggered a police operation in Bern late Tuesday morning. Various emergency services are on the scene, as a spokeswoman for the Bern cantonal police said on request.
At the request of the Keystone-SDA news agency, the spokeswoman confirmed a report by the "Berner Zeitung" newspaper. The police operation was triggered shortly before 11.15 a.m., the spokeswoman added. The threat situation could not yet be confirmed.
The Munzinger school in the city of Bern is affected, according to the spokesperson. The schoolchildren are in the classrooms. Further investigations are being carried out on site.
