Three men arrested in Lugano

Three men were arrested in Lugano TI on Saturday following an altercation. A man was injured in the dispute at the train station.

According to the public prosecutor's office and the cantonal police, a 25-year-old and a 21-year-old Italian national and a 22-year-old Moroccan national were arrested. All are residents of the province of Como.

The arrest by officers from the Lugano municipal police was triggered by an argument, the Ticino cantonal police announced on Sunday. This occurred shortly before 5.30 a.m. in the Lugano train station area and resulted in a brief physical altercation. A 32-year-old Italian citizen, also resident in the province of Como, was slightly injured.

The investigation is ongoing. It is assumed that bodily harm was caused, the statement continued.
