“Trump Freezes Tax Agreements – Including with Switzerland”

Russian President Vladimir Putin has suspended tax agreements with over 30 countries, including Switzerland, in response to what he perceives as hostile actions taken against Russia. According to reports from the Russian news agencies Tass and Interfax, Putin signed a decree suspending certain articles of the agreements to avoid double taxation and tax evasion with the US, UK, Canada, and Switzerland. The Russian government justified the move by citing alleged violations of the legitimate economic and other interests of the Russian Federation. Putin has instructed the government to draft a corresponding bill and submit it to the parliament.nnnnnn
