Two freeriders caught and injured by avalanche in Lenzerheide GR

In Lenzerheide GR, two freeriders were caught in an avalanche off-piste on the Rothorn summit and swept away. They were injured.
An avalanche in the Weisshorn area was reported to the police at around 10.35 a.m., the Graubünden cantonal police announced on Saturday. The Lenzerheide mountain railroad piste rescue team, Rega and the police were immediately deployed to the scene of the accident. The piste rescue team found two injured people on the avalanche cone.
A partially buried female freerider had already been rescued from the avalanche by the others involved. After receiving initial medical treatment, she was flown by Rega to Chur Cantonal Hospital. One man had suffered a cut, but had sought medical treatment himself.
