Two injured in scooter accident in La-Tour-de-Trême FR

A 19-year-old and his 16-year-old passenger were injured in a collision between a scooter and a car in La-Tour-de-Trême FR on Thursday. Both had to be taken to hospital.
The two were driving on Rue des Lilas in the direction of Rue des Bouleaux at around 6.20 p.m., the Fribourg cantonal police reported on Friday. At an intersection, they collided with a car that had the right of way.
In the ensuing crash, the driver of the scooter sustained injuries and his passenger was seriously injured. The 19-year-old was reportedly taken to hospital by ambulance and the 16-year-old was flown there by helicopter.
The 54-year-old driver of the car was uninjured. The road was closed for around two and a half hours due to the accident.
