Valais police take action against posers and speeders

In Valais, 17 so-called posers are up against the law. They are alleged to have technically modified their vehicles in such a way that they caused an unnecessary amount of noise. This was announced by the Valais cantonal police on Tuesday.
During two campaigns last week, a total of 34 vehicles were checked. Unauthorized modifications that led to more noise were found on 17 vehicles. One motorist was stopped while under the influence of drugs.
Since May 11, the police have also caught five speeders who were clearly speeding. These are a Swiss, a Macedonian, an Argentinian, a Spaniard and an Italian. They are facing a prison sentence and a driving disqualification.
