Woman Drowns in Lake Geneva at Montreux

On Wednesday evening, a woman drowned off the coast of Montreux VD on Lake Geneva. The approximately 60-year-old deceased has not yet been identified, according to the Waadt Cantonal Police. The Cantonal Police is therefore asking for witnesses. The woman had gone swimming alone near the Quai des Fleurs. People who were nearby brought the lifeless woman to the shore and tried to revive her, but according to the police this was not successful.
