Woman injured by pistol during argument with man in Maggia TI

A 62-year-old man shot at a woman during an argument in the Ticino municipality of Maggia on Saturday. The 58-year-old woman was seriously injured in the leg. The man was arrested.
The man used a small-caliber pistol, as reported by the Ticino cantonal police and the public prosecutor's office on Sunday. The incident took place shortly before midnight outside a house in the district of Moghegno. Both people live in the Locarno region.
The man was charged with attempted murder and violating the Weapons Act, among other things. The public prosecutor's office initiated an investigation.
The Ticino cantonal police, the Locarno municipal police, the Ascona municipal police and several ambulance services were deployed to deal with the incident.
