Retour au fil d'actualité

On Monday, some of the over 30 companies in the evacuated part of Schwanden in the canton of Glarus were able to resume operations for the first time. The municipality allowed the companies to work from 8:30am to 4:30pm, subject to daily natural hazard assessments. This applies to companies on Sernftalstrasse 33 for the time being. Two companies, whose buildings were buried by the landslides at the end of August, are not eligible for this concept. The municipality is helping them to set up a temporary solution and to find a definitive replacement. From Tuesday, the municipality will issue a special ID card to private individuals living in the restricted zone, to facilitate their dealings with authorities, insurers and service providers. 38 properties have been affected by the two large landslides that occurred at the end of August after heavy rains, with half a dozen houses being buried or destroyed. Fortunately, no one was injured.nnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn
