We recently reported on the acquisition of biosimilar by Sandoz. Today it is announced that Sandoz are also installing new leaders across the board.

The current Chief Financial Officer Colin Bond will retire on June 30 and will then be replaced by Remco Steenbergen. The generics specialist also announced that Mathai Mammen and Michael Rechsteiner will be proposed for election to the Board of Directors.

Steenbergen, for his part, will not be standing for re-election to the Board of Directors at the upcoming Annual General Meeting on April 30, 2024 when he is appointed future CFO, as detailed in a press release issued on Tuesday. He will also become a member of the Executive Board when he takes office on July 1.

According to the press release, Steenbergen is an experienced manager with a broad range of financial and operational experience. He is currently Group Chief Financial Officer at Deutsche Lufthansa. Prior to that, he was Group CFO at Barry Callebaut in Switzerland and held various senior business and finance positions at Philips and KPMG.
