H55, a Swiss leader in electric aviation, has announced that the Government of Quebec plans to invest in the company. This investment, led by Investissement Québec, will significantly aid H55’s production and research and development activities in North America. This aligns with Quebec’s establishment of Espace Aéro, an aerospace innovation zone.

Following the European Union Aviation Safety Agency’s approval of its electric systems, H55 is set to begin production in its Longueuil, Greater Montreal facility in late 2024, collaborating with partners like Pratt & Whitney Canada, CAE, and Harbour Air.

This strategic investment will bolster H55’s role in advancing sustainable aviation, leveraging Quebec’s clean energy resources. Minister Pierre Fitzgibbon praised the economic impact for Quebec, while H55’s leaders emphasized the importance of this partnership in accelerating their growth and technological innovation.
