A Wolf Pack Has Formed in the Swiss National Park

In the Swiss National Park in Engadin, a wolf pack has been formed for the first time in over a hundred years. Young wolves were caught on camera traps set up by the National Park in search of them. Evidence of the presence of young wolves was found in destroyed insect traps with clear bite marks. Photos taken from the camera traps showed that young wolves were indeed present. In the same area, dead deer and chamois were also found, likely killed by the wolves. The pack was named "Fuorn" and is the 13th pack to be documented in Graubünden. At least four young wolves are part of the pack. The park is a great habitat for the wolves, as there is plenty of wild game and minimal human interference. Park officials are excited to observe the effects of the wolf pack on the largely untouched ecosystem of the National Park. It is still unclear which wolf pair founded the pack, but genetic analysis will help to determine this.nnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn
