Matthias Aebischer is a former Bern SP Nationalrat and is seen as a suitable candidate for the Federal Council. Peter Vollmer, a former Bern SP Nationalrat, believes that Aebischer has all the necessary qualities for the role. He is familiar with the political system, has strong leadership qualities and is an excellent communicator. Vollmer also believes that Aebischer is a good lobbyist for minorities and a good representative of civil society.
