Rental Offers Increase Slightly in August

The Homegate-Mietindex for rental offers in Switzerland showed a slight increase in August, with the index rising by 0.3 points to 122.7. This represents an overall increase of 4% compared to the same period last year. The largest increases were seen in Glarus (+1.7%) and the largest decreases in Graubünden (-2.5%). In the eight cities studied, Lausanne saw an increase of 1.3%, while Luzern and Lugano saw decreases of 1.8% and 2% respectively. Zurich saw a decrease of 0.2%, but still showed an increase of more than 10% compared to the same period last year. The Homegate-Mietindex for rental offers is compiled by the real estate marketplace Homegate in collaboration with the Zürcher Kantonalbank (ZKB). It measures the monthly quality-adjusted change in rental prices for new and re-rented apartments based on current market offers.nnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn
