Newborn Placed in Basel Hospital Baby Window

A newborn baby boy was left at the Baby Window of Bethesda Hospital in Basel on Thursday morning. The baby is in good health according to the circumstances. He will remain in hospital care for further medical examinations. The mother of the baby is being called upon to contact the Kindes- und Erwachsenenschutzbehörde (Kesb) Basel-Stadt so that the best solution for the child can be found in cooperation with professionals. The Kesb will appoint a legal representative for the child and take care of the child's accommodation. The Bethesda Hospital has had a Baby Window since 2015.
