Landslide Buried Road in Bündner Calancatal

A landslide occurred on the Calancastrasse between Buseno and Rossa GR in the night of Saturday, caused by heavy rainfall. Around 300 cubic metres of rubble fell from a height of 200 metres onto the road. Fortunately, no one was injured. On Saturday morning, experts did not expect any further collapses, so the clean-up work could begin. Once the rubble is removed, the road will need to be repaired. If all goes according to plan, the Calancastrasse could be reopened as early as Sunday evening. After that, the area of the collapse and the rock face nearby will be monitored with a radar.
