The Lottery Decides Potential Successors in Ticino

Two Green National Council candidates, Maurizio Barro and Rocco Vitale, have received the same number of votes in the canton of Ticino. As a result, a lottery will be held to decide who will take Greta Gysin's place in the Council of States if she is elected on November 19th. Barro and Vitale are currently in fifth and sixth place respectively in the Green Party, which ran together with the Forum Alternativo. According to the law, it must still be clarified who would take Gysin's place in the Council of States in the event of four rejections. The lottery will be held on Wednesday morning at 9am.
