35-year-old dies in traffic accident in Vaud

A fatal accident occurred in the canton of Vaud on Monday morning. The 35-year-old driver, who was alone in the vehicle, died at the scene of the accident.
The driver was driving on the road from Saanen BE towards Rougemont VD at around 06:30, as reported by the Vaud cantonal police on Monday. As he approached the traffic circle at the entrance to Rougement, he lost control of his vehicle for as yet unexplained reasons, according to the police. The car left the road and crashed onto a lower-lying path.
The driver, a Swiss national living in the region, died at the scene of the accident.
