The Bern-based energy company BKW and the French provider of fast-charging stations Electra are planning to build at least 600 charging stations for electric mobility in Switzerland over the next three years. BKW and Electra have signed a partnership agreement to this effect.
The charging stations are to be installed at 100 locations, as BKW and Electra jointly announced on Friday. Electra is represented in eight European countries and recently inaugurated its 131st fast-charging station for electric vehicles.
The Paris-based company has also been operating in Switzerland since the end of May. Electra is contributing its knowledge of site selection and customer experience to the project with BKW. BKW, on the other hand, has experience in the planning and installation of charging stations.
