Collision on highway 5 – three injured

Three people have been injured in a collision between two cars on the A5 near Offenburg. A Swiss driver was heading north on Saturday evening when he presumably hit a car in front of him while reversing in after overtaking, according to the police. Both cars left the road and ended up in an adjacent field.
The two women driving in the small Polish car that was hit suffered serious injuries in the accident. The person who caused the accident was slightly injured. At least two following cars were damaged by debris on the road. The highway in the direction of Karlsruhe was partially closed for around four hours. Further details about the people involved in the accident were not initially known.
