Extensive police operation due to shooting in Sion

According to local newspaper reports, there was a shooting at a company in Sion on Monday morning. At the request of Keystone-SDA, the police only confirmed that there was a large-scale operation in the city and throughout the canton.
The Valais cantonal police had only announced that a police operation was underway. Early Monday morning, the cantonal police deployed extensive resources in the city of Sion and throughout the canton, the police announced shortly after 9.30 a.m. on X, formerly Twitter. Further information would be provided at a later date.
The Valais daily newspaper "Le Nouvelliste" reported online that a district of Sion had been cordoned off by the police following a shooting at a company. The local radio station Rhône FM referred to witnesses who also reported a shooting.
