Two people injured in rail accident in Zurich

Two people were injured in a rail accident in Zurich on Wednesday evening. A construction train wagon crashed into a track excavator.
The accident occurred on the viaduct that leads from Wipkingen to the main station platform. A spokesperson for the cantonal police confirmed corresponding media reports on Thursday. A relatively high level of property damage was reported. The police were initially unable to provide any information on the severity of the injuries sustained by the two people.
