The online retailer Galaxus is delivering more and more products abroad. In 2023, this customer group accounted for a quarter of the total of 4 million customers who ordered something last year.
While the number of customers in Switzerland grew by 12 percent last year, it increased by 39 percent in the EU markets, the Migros subsidiary announced on Tuesday. In 2023, Galaxus had 1.03 million customers from abroad.
This means that the number of customers from abroad has increased more than tenfold since 2019. Galaxus is currently present in Germany, Austria, France, Italy, Belgium and the Netherlands.
The company launched in Germany in 2018 and in Austria in 2021. These two markets continue to account for the largest share of international business.
Switzerland's largest online retailer announced its sales figures for 2023 two weeks ago. Galaxus increased its revenue by 13.1 percent to 2.7 billion Swiss francs within a year.
