The number of vacancies at the ten largest Swiss banks decreased slightly in January: a total of 906 jobs were still advertised, almost 0.9 percent fewer than in December.
Since April 2023, there have only been fewer vacancies in August and September 2023. These are the findings of an analysis by the job portal Indeed, which counts and analyzes the jobs advertised on the websites of the ten largest Swiss banks every month for the news agency AWP. Only jobs with a place of work in Switzerland are taken into account.
In particular, the private bank Lombard Odier (-33%), Zürcher Kantonalbank (-19%) and Julius Bär (-19%) hit the brakes hard.
On the other hand, the number of vacancies at Postfinance increased by a third. Despite the integration, more new jobs were also advertised at the major bank UBS (+15%) and Credit Suisse (+3.4%), which it acquired.
