City of Zurich pays out February wages twice

The city of Zurich has paid thousands of its employees their February salaries twice. Apparently there was a data error.
A spokesperson for the Department of Finance is quoted in the Tages Anzeiger newspaper as saying that everything went correctly at the administration. It remains to be seen where the error occurred.
The several thousand people affected cannot look forward to the additional salary. There is a repayment obligation.
