Honoring the Legacy of Freddy Nock: A Tribute to the Daredevil of the Skies
A public memorial service for deceased Swiss high-wire artist Freddy Nock will be held in Märstetten TG in just under three weeks’ time. Nock, who was 59 years old, was found dead in his apartment in Uerkheim AG in the first week of February.
With the help of Adrian Bolzern, the pastor of circus people, and Alfred Nock, Freddy’s Father. They plan to honor the life of Freddy Nock at an ecumenical event, according to a press release on Wednesday.
The ecumenical event on March 18 is for circus people, showmen, market drivers and their friends. Prior to the memorial service, the urn burial will take place in the immediate family circle.
The organizers of the memorial service, who were so close to Freddy Nock said: “Lived life always consists of opposites,” they continued. It’s not just in show business that there are highs and lows.
The four daughters are keen for their post on social media to be respected: “Our dad died of a broken heart.”
Born in 1964 in the canton of Aargau, Freddy Nock was a multiple record holder. He came from the traditional Nock circus family. The high-wire artist sought extremes in life and tested the limits. Since the end of the 1990s, he has achieved more than 20 world records with his performances on the high wire.
