The public prosecutor's office of the canton of St. Gallen has opened criminal proceedings into allegations of abuse at the private evangelical school "Domino Servite" in Kaltbrunn SG. According to information from the public prosecutor's office, the investigation is focusing in particular on the offense of rape.

According to Radio SRF's Regionaljournal Ostschweiz, acts against sexual integrity are at the center of the investigation. The public prosecutor's office of the canton of St. Gallen confirmed the content of the radio report on Friday morning at the request of the Keystone-SDA news agency. The regional journal also reported that a former teacher was the focus of the investigation.

In a report broadcast by Swiss Radio and Television (SRF) in September 2023, several former pupils of the private school made serious allegations. Among other things, they reported beatings with belts and a climate of fear at the boarding school.

Cases of abuse at the private school mainly occurred between 1995 and 2002, as revealed by an investigation report in 2022, which was commissioned by the private school - now known as "Christliche Schule Linth".

In the SRF report from September 2023, a woman made another serious accusation against the evangelical private school "Domino Servite". She had been raped by a teacher as a 12-year-old in the 1990s.
