Switzerland pays into green climate fund for another four years

Switzerland will continue to pay into the green climate fund for the next four years. On Wednesday, the Federal Council approved an amount of CHF 135 million for the entire period.
"The Federal Council is thus making a contribution in view of the growing climate-related challenges and the urgent need for action," he writes in a press release.
According to the Federal Council, the Green Climate Fund (GCF) is the largest global fund dedicated to combating the effects of climate change. With its support, Switzerland is fulfilling its commitment under the Paris Climate Agreement.
