The student pro-Palestine protest has reached the University of Bern. On Sunday evening, around 60 people occupied the university's premises on Unitobler in the Länggass district, as reported by a correspondent of the Keystone-SDA news agency.

According to a statement, the occupiers are students at the University of Bern. They accuse the management of the university of having taken a clear political stance on the Middle East conflict. Pro-Palestinian employees are being censored. At the same time, the university maintains academic relations with Israeli institutions.

"We call on the university to respect the peaceful occupation and to enter into dialog with us," the statement said. No statement was initially available from the university. Pro-Palestine protests also took place in Geneva, Lausanne and Zurich last week.
