Man falls between train and platform and is fatally injured

A 64-year-old man fell between the platform and a departing train in Thusis GR on Friday afternoon. He suffered fatal injuries, as reported by the cantonal police of Graubünden on Saturday.
The accident occurred shortly after 1.30 p.m. on platform 2 at Thusis station. According to the police, the man lost his balance when he tried to open the door of the train departing in the direction of Chur.
He fell onto the tracks and was pulled under the train. The exact circumstances of the accident are not yet known and are being investigated by the Graubünden cantonal police and the public prosecutor's office.
