Pickle manufacturer Reitzel achieves record sales

The Reitzel Group, which specializes in pickles and sauces, achieved higher sales in 2023 than ever before. The Swiss business grew. The company does not disclose profit figures.
Last year, turnover rose by 5 percent to 113 million Swiss francs, as the French-speaking Swiss group announced on Monday. Almost half of this was generated in the domestic market: Reitzel Switzerland achieved a turnover of 54 million - 3 percent more than in the previous year.
At the same time, the company known for the "Hugo" brand has invested in the digitalization of operating processes and growth in the food service segment. Turnover in this segment is rising steadily and reached 44 million last year, according to the company.
Looking ahead, the Group wants to continue to grow. However, Reitzel does not specify any concrete quantitative targets. The company reportedly employs 545 people, 127 of whom work at its headquarters in Aigle in the canton of Vaud.
