TREND: Majority in favor of premium relief initiative in Basel-Stadt

In the canton of Basel-Stadt, after the postal votes have been counted, it appears that the SP's initiative to reduce the burden on premiums will be approved. However, the cost brake initiative of the Center Party was clearly rejected
54% of postal voters say yes to the premium relief initiative. However, 63.6% of the votes cast against the cost brake initiative were against.
Postal votes account for over 90 percent of the total number of votes in Basel-Stadt. The trend report is therefore considered reliable.
