A 29-year-old woman was seriously injured in an apartment fire in Rorschach SG on Saturday night. According to the police, four other residents of the house suffered minor and undetermined injuries.
The fire department rescued the 29-year-old woman from the apartment on the third floor of the apartment building, the St. Gallen cantonal police reported early on Saturday morning. She was taken to hospital.
The other residents were able to leave the house on their own, according to the statement. Six people were not injured. The four injured people were also taken to hospital. The damage to property amounts to several tens of thousands of francs, according to the statement.
According to the police, the fire broke out shortly before 00:30. The cause is still unclear and is being investigated.
