Switzerland condemns the dangerous escalation of violence in the Middle East, including the Israeli air strikes on Iran on Saturday. Hostilities must cease on all sides in order to avoid a worsening of the regional escalation, the Swiss Foreign Ministry announced on Saturday via the short message service X.
Israel carried out its long-awaited attack on Iran on Saturday night, but apparently spared the arch-enemy's oil and nuclear facilities. According to the Israeli military, precise attacks were carried out on rocket production sites and rocket launching facilities. The government in Tehran announced that two soldiers had been killed. The material damage was limited.
