Man killed in apartment in La Neuveville BE

The Bern cantonal police found a man seriously injured in La Neuveville BE on Monday morning. He died on the spot despite immediate rescue measures, according to the police.
The police were informed shortly before 5.10 a.m. on Monday about a seriously injured man in an apartment on Rue du Collège in La Neuveville. The emergency services found two men at the scene. One of them was seriously injured, as the police wrote on Monday.
The seriously injured man died at the scene. He was a 50-year-old Romanian. The second man, a 24-year-old Romanian, was provisionally arrested by the police. He is the suspected perpetrator, according to the statement.
The police are currently assuming a violent crime. They have started an investigation.
