Transa takes over Yosemite mountain sports business

Transa Backpacking AG is strengthening its presence in French-speaking Switzerland with the acquisition of the Yosemite mountain sports stores. From November 2024, the stores in Lausanne and Vevey and the Yosemite website will be gradually integrated into the Transa brand. The complete transition is planned for February 2025, as Transa announced on Thursday.
The takeover includes the Lausanne, Vevey and Zermatt locations. While the stores in Lausanne and Vevey will be run entirely under the Transa brand, the store in Zermatt will remain as "Yosemite by Transa".
The takeover will give customers access to Transa services such as material rental and repair services in the future, according to the statement. The product range will be expanded to a good 540 brands.
