Ukraine has once again accused the Russian army of war crimes. According to the public prosecutor's office in Kiev, five out of six Ukrainian soldiers were shot dead after being captured near the village of Novodarivka in the southern Ukrainian region of Zaporizhzhya.
The incident had already occurred last Saturday. Investigations had been launched into war crimes and murder.
The Russian army invaded Ukraine in February 2022. International human rights organizations accuse the Russian side in particular of violating the Geneva Conventions. In recent weeks, there have been increasing reports from the Ukrainian side of Ukrainian prisoners of war being shot by Russian soldiers.
