“World Cheese Awards” to be presented in Bern in 2025

In the fall of 2025, the "World Cheese Awards" will be held in Switzerland for the first time - in Bern, to be precise. The competition for the presumed best cheese in the world will take place from November 13 to 15 at the Bernexpo site.
As the Swiss cheese marketing organization Switzerland Cheese Marketing announced on Saturday, the programme for the three-day event also includes a "Swiss Fine Food Market". According to the communiqué, it will offer a stage for various agricultural products, such as Swiss wine and meat in addition to cheese.
Around 5000 cheeses from 50 countries are expected to take part in the competition itself. The event takes place in the new festival hall in the capital.
The cheese prizes have been awarded since 1988. The event is organized by the British gourmet publisher The Guild of Fine Food. The last award ceremony took place in November of this year in Viseu, Portugal.
