Following the bankruptcy of Signa, the operational business of Globus was already transferred to the Thai Central Group in September. Now there is also to be a plan for the sale of the Globus properties, half of which are owned by Central and half by Signa, as the Sonntagszeitung writes.

The newspaper refers to internal documents from the insolvency administrator of Signa Prime Selection from the end of November, which are available to the medium. According to these documents, the marketing of the properties at Schweizergasse 11 and 12 near Zurich's Bahnhofstrasse is to begin next year. A "transparent bidding process has been initiated" for the latter, the newspaper quotes an unnamed real estate expert.

According to the article, the Central Group is said to be interested in the property at Schweizergasse 11. The involvement of alternative investors is also being examined. However, the Central Group did not wish to comment to the newspaper.

In Basel, the property at Freie Strasse 50 is also expected to be sold in 2025. The Globus store under construction on Marktplatz in Basel is scheduled to open in the fourth quarter of 2025 and the sale is expected to be initiated in mid-2026.

The search for a buyer had already begun in Bern in October. A sale is expected in the second quarter of 2025.

The Central Group did not wish to comment on the media report to the news agency AWP. However, a spokesperson for the insolvency administrator confirmed that the information in the article is correct. However, as the bankruptcy proceedings are not public, he was unable to provide any further details.
