Trump appoints Callista Gingrich as ambassador to Switzerland

US President-elect Donald Trump has appointed Callista L. Gingrich as the United States Ambassador to Switzerland. Trump posted the appointment on his own platform "Truth Social". Gingrich had previously been ambassador to the Vatican.
