A wanderer in April discovered a corpse in the Bolle di Magadino in the Swiss canton of Ticino. After an intensive search, the remains were identified as a 42-year-old Swiss man who had been missing since December 2004. The discovery was made possible due to the dry conditions in the region. The corpse was found in the nature reserve of Bolle di Magadino, which is usually covered by the waters of Lake Maggiore. The area is an important wetland of international significance. The remains were identified through a molecular and DNA analysis. The cause of death is still unknown.
