Motorcyclist Dies in Lower Valais After Self-Accident

On Saturday, a 43-year-old man from the Valais region of Switzerland died in a motorcycle accident on the Route des Paujes in Grône VS. The man was travelling from Granges to Sitten shortly after 9pm when, for unknown reasons, his front wheel collided with the edge of a traffic island in the middle of the road. The impact caused him to fall and slide approximately 40 meters before coming to a stop at the right side of the road. Despite the quick response of emergency services, the man died at the scene. An investigation has been launched by the State Prosecutor in collaboration with the Cantonal Police.
