On Sunday, a nine-person minibus crashed down a hillside in a self-accident on the Julierpass GR. Four children and four adults were injured. The 41-year-old driver had lost control of the minibus while going downhill towards Bivio after an overtaking manoeuvre, according to the Graubünden Cantonal Police. The vehicle broke through the guardrail and overturned once before coming to a stop on its wheels. Two families were in the minibus. The driver and his family were from Sri Lanka and living in France. The origin of the second family could not be determined. The injured children were aged ten, eight and five, and a seven-month-old baby was also injured. The severity of the injuries of the children and the four adults is still unclear, according to police spokesman Martin Walser. However, no one was seriously injured. One adult remained uninjured. Two Rega rescue helicopters and two ambulances were deployed. The injured were transported to various hospitals.nnnnnn
