Aleksandar Ivanovic, a seasoned banking professional, is set to replace Suni Harford as UBS’s President of Asset Management. This transition marks a new era, with Ivanovic stepping into his role at the beginning of March and joining the UBS Executive Board.

Aleksandar Ivanovic, previously overseeing the Swiss and EMEA (Europe, Middle East, and Africa) regions at UBS, has been pivotal in shaping UBS’s Asset Management strategy. His extensive experience, dating back to 1992 with a banking apprenticeship at UBS, encompasses various roles across all bank divisions. Ivanovic’s career trajectory also includes significant Credit Suisse and Morgan Stanley positions, underscoring his comprehensive industry insight.

Beatriz Martin Jimenez will inherit Suni Harford’s former position as Head of Sustainability and Impact at the Group Executive Board level in a parallel leadership shift. Martin Jimenez, a UBS veteran since 2012, has demonstrated her versatility by holding multiple critical roles, combining her new duties with her ongoing responsibilities as Head Non-Core and Legacy, President EMEA, and UK Chief Executive.

Suni Harford’s tenure at UBS, starting in 2017 and leading the Asset Management division since 2019, has been marked by notable growth and development. Under her guidance, UBS has expanded its asset management portfolio and successfully integrated Credit Suisse’s asset management activities.

Aleksandar Ivanovic’s appointment as the new head of Asset Management at UBS signifies a strategic step forward for the bank, reinforcing its commitment to leadership excellence and sustainable business practices.
