The number of overnight stays rose from April to June compared to 2022 by 0.4%, totalling 3.73 million. This was a 15% increase compared to the pre-corona year of 2019. Swiss guests made up 67.5% of the total demand. Swiss guests made up 70% and 81% of the camping sites and collective accommodation respectively, while foreign guests had a slight majority of 51% in holiday apartments. The positive trend seen at the beginning of the year continued, with an overall increase of 3.4% in the first half of 2021 compared to the pre-corona year of 2019. Some industry representatives even predicted a record year, with Swiss Jugendherbergen expecting 800,000 overnight stays, which would be a new record.nnnnnnnnnn
