The Federal Republic of Germany Offers Assistance to Morocco

The Swiss Federal Department of Foreign Affairs (EDA) has decided to offer Morocco assistance on Saturday morning. The details of the offer are still being worked out. There are currently no reports of Swiss victims in the earthquake area. The aid will be tailored to the needs of the local population. The EDA is in regular contact with the Swiss Embassy in Rabat and the relevant authorities in Morocco. The staff of the embassy are safe and there are no reports of Swiss victims. Around two dozen Swiss citizens currently in Morocco have contacted the Federal Helpline. They have been instructed to follow the instructions of the local authorities, register on the Federal TravelAdminApp and contact the airline or travel provider.
